Cale Got a Rocktastic Tattoo

Cale's Tattoo Day 2

I will do what I can to get Cale to post something about this.

For now, I will say it took two days. Three hours each day. Junior Sulu'ape did an amazing job. It truly is a work of art.

Was this inspired by an octopus? It looks awesome! The sun in the middle reminds me of the one you used to draw when you were in high school.

While I can appreciate the artistry, the thought of six hours of tatooing (sp?) makes me cringe. Note to Matthew - please don't!

I read Cale's blog entry before I saw the completed piece, and now I can really see what he was talking about when he said " magical explosions of pain". The red inflamed reaction of the surrounding skin speaks to that...poor tissue, it didn't know what hit it!!!

Actually, all the red is a reaction to the Detol we put on his tattoo after the first day. He may be allergic or something because he broke out in a rash. So we stopped using Detol, but the rash hasn't faded yet.
