87: Close of Service Conference

Today we start our COS (close of service...and apparently continuation of service conference). I am actually typing this from the conference. It started early, so I was on the computer when we started. My posts for these next few days will be short and/or non-existant. I will see what I can do.

We are all heading out to Coconuts resort for the next two days of conference.

Why are they having the close of service when you guys still have the rest of September, October, November and half of December to go? Wouldn't they want it closer to your actual end date? Or maybe, you will have to cram in everything you still haven't accomplished?

COS conference is three months before your actual COS date for several reasons. 1. there is a lot that needs to be done before you can leave and you need to start thinking about all that stuff (writing your description of service, finishing projects, closing out financial obligations, etc) 2. Not everyone will leave in December. You can leave 30 days before or 30 days after your COS date with no penalties or special permission, so that means that some people could be leaving in two months. 3. Other things
